Mission
The Business Economics Chair is dedicated to industrial economics and business strategy.
The goal of the Chair is to contribute to the renewal and dissemination of theory and practice in this field, both by means of research and by the various study courses offered at the Ecole Polytechnique.
DuPont, Lafarge, Suez and Unilever as Partner Companies wish to collaborate in the creation of this Chair, enabling the academic world to deepen its understanding of this field with complete independence, and to contribute to its study programme.
Its main objectives are :
- to improve and consolidate the standards of excellence within the School and the Partner Companies by organising internationally-orientated activities for reflection, education and research,
- to facilitate direct contact between the most motivated of the Ecole’s students and the Partner Companies, to their mutual advantage,
- to open up the possibility of joint research, development and education activities with the Partner Companies and the Department of Economics of the Ecole.
